Text	According to a Washington correspondent League President Young has expressed himself as in cordial sympathy with the players in the National League, who have lately organized the Base Ball Union. Mr. Young is quoted as saying: “It seems to be a move on the part of the most reputable men in the professional to secure for themselves and associates fair and equitable treatment at the hands of those in authority over them as well as to promote the general welfare of the sport. With such an object the organization is above criticism, and the fact that such men as John War, John O'Rourke, John Morrill, Ed Hanlon and Dave Rowe are the prime movers in the scheme, insures for it the respect and consideration of all who may be brought in contact with the workings of the institution.
