Text | [reporting on the IA convention of 2/20/1877] It was a pleasant tribute to the acknowledged ability of Mr. Young, the League Secretary, that on the first ballot for Secretary of the Association nearly half the ballots were indorsed, “N. E. Young.” It would be a good thing for base-ball if it had plenty more “N. E. Youngs” to take responsible positions in it. |
