Text | Efforts are being made to reorganize the Hartford Club at Hartford next season, with Higham, Cary, and York as the nucleus. It is stated that Ferguson is not wanted. In many respects it will be the old Club under a new management. Morgan G. Buckeley [sic], the present manager of the Hartford, will not, it is reported, have any connection with the new corporation in an official capacity, although his counsel and advice could not fail to be beneficial, and will no doubt be frequently asked. Cincinnati Enquirer August 6, 1877 ticket price reduction in Indianapolis The directors of the Indianapolis club have come down to the wants of the public, and hereafter 25 cents admission will be charged to all games. The league games heretofore have been 50 cents, but this reduction takes them in. This is a move in the right direction, and large crowds should be in attendance at future games.
