Text | [from an interview of John Morrill] “Let me see, you had the longest contract with Boston that any player has ever signed, I believe?” “I do not know. I signed in 1875 with Boston for five years. I was then playing second base with the Lowell (Mass.) Club, so that with 1882 I have been there six years. I suppose I could do better in another city, but as they insist in reserving me I must stay with them. |
