Text | The Cincinnati Club has provided tarpaulin as covering for the home plate, pitcher’s position, each base and the shortstop’s position. These coverings will be laid during every rain and keep these places dry. In this way the club need never lose a game by rain, unless the rain falls during the progress of the game. The grounds even now can stand and absorb more rain than any in the land. St., quoting the Cincinnati Commercial Gazette |
