Text | Umpire Ferguson says that if men are on bases and a pop fly is struck, which the fielder makes no effort to catch, allowing the ball to drop to the ground, the bases are forced and a double play can be made, but if the fielder attempts to catch the ball, and it drops to the ground after touching his hand, the batter alone is out. |
