Text | The following are the special rules governing the Indianapolis Club for the coming season: The excessive use of intoxicating drinks is positively prohibited, and total abstinence earnestly recommended. Smoking not allowed on the day of playing a game of ball between the hours of 1 p.m. and the close of the game. Players will abstain from the use of profane language both on the field and in their dressing-room, and conduct themselves in a gentlemanly manner. Players are particularly requested not to associate with prostitutes. All players will report to the Managers of the head-quarters each day at ten o'clock, unless previously excused. Any violation of these rules will subject the offender to a fine of not less than $10 or more than $50, or expulsion from the Club, at the option of the Board of Directors. |
