Text | We notice that all the leading pitcher are now fully awake to the advantage of aiming for accuracy of delivery as an important concomitant of speed in pitching; and they have learned, also, to see the point of observing the rule, “pitch over the plate when men are on the bases;” and, furthermore, have go into the way of quick returns from the catcher, so as to leave the batsmen as little time as possible to judge the delivery. |
