Text | [Boston vs. Chicago 7/16/1877] The home nine was found in a disabled condition, Bradley being sick abed. His place was filled by McVey, who pitched with less effect than usual, on account of a lame arm. Bradley’s illness left the management in a perplexity, which was at length relieved partially by Cherokee Fisher, of the Chicago Franklins, who was hunted up and put at third base. St. |
