Text | While playing against the Alleghenies, the Chicago Inter-Ocean says: Anson was decided out by the umpire for knocking Williamson over while he was attempting to catch a fly popped up by Hines. It was a very discreditable trick, and Anson’s assertion that he did not see the player makes it even worse, as it is very improbable that such an expert player runs with his eyes closed. St. |
