Text | There is a great deal of curiosity in this city to witness Cummings, whom Mr. Chadwick thinks is the best pitcher in this country. He is living well on his reputation, which has never been put to such severe tests as have been those of McBride, Zettlein, Martin, and a number of others we might mention. We must content ourselves by exclaiming with the poet: ‘Twinkle (Cummings) little Star– How we wonder what you are? |
