Text | It is understood that the owner of the Coogan property at 155 th street would let the club have it at a very reasonable figure if he could secure stock in the club; but the President of the New Yorks has refused to make any such arrangement. However, there is still a slight glimmer of hope that the New Yorks may yet get the Coogan site. This hope comes from the fact that the Coogan property for which $500,000 has been asked, will be sold at auction on Feb. 21, and may be bought up by the elevated railroad in which case it would be to the advantage of the road to have the club play there. |
