Text | [from Murnane's column] The idea of asserting that the League is now outdrawing the Players. … What rot! ...the last three Players' games in Boston drew over 16,000 paid admissions to less than 2500. The last two games we played in Pittsburg to over 4000 paid admissions, while the Boston Leaguers drew less than 200. The Players' League Club in Chicago has been out-drawing the League Club seven to one on the basis of cash receipts. |
