Text | [reporting on the report judiciary committee of the NAPBBP convention] John Murdock was censured for signing with the Chicagos for the seasons of 1875-1876 and 1877, before the 1st of November, 1874, and while still a member of the Mutuals. This, like all the other decision of this committee, was an absurd one, as the proper party to censure was the Chicago Club, who had tampered with a member of the Mutuals, in direct violation of the rules. |
