Text | [Cincinnati vs. Keystone 6/22/1869] Allison's hands have become greatly puffed up and swollen by the hard work they have had to do, and he was unable to play to-day. He was really unfit to play the Athletics yesterday, but his pluck and endurance carried him well through the game. To-day George Wright stood behind the bat, Leonard playing short stop, and Hurley going into the left field. |
