Reach, both juniors of Philadelphia, 5/1/1873] Every decision of the umpire which did not suit them [the Zephyr], they disputed, and showed by their actions they were trying to frighten him,–for at every ball pitched, no matter how wild, they asked judgment on the striker, and then because he would not call strikes, he was a ----- of an umpire. |
