Text	To effectually put at rest the insane stories emanating in New York, that Indianapolis is likely to be voted out of the League, in the desire to return to an eight-club circuit, it can be stated that President Brush has in his safe an iron-clad agreement, signed by all the Presidents of the League, that Indianapolis shall continue therein. Objection was raised at the time of the admission of Brooklyn and Cincinnati against a ten-club circuit, and neither Brush nor Hewitt would vote for the admission of the new applicants until they had exacted a written agreement that the same should in no way interfere with Indianapolis and Washington. Backed by this document, Indianapolis can not be forced out by the Eastern demand for an eight-club circuit.
