Text | [Athletic vs. Boston 5/15/1875] [bases loaded with one out] Barnes sent an easy bounder to Reach [second baseman], on which there was every prospect of a double play, but McVey [running from first] while on the way to second, ran into Reach and nearly laid him flat on the grass. The ball, of course, went by him. |
