Text | The gentlemen interested in the Boston Union Athletic Exhibition Company had a meeting yesterday afternoon, and elected the following officers: President, Mr. Frank E. Winslow; secretary and treasurer, Mr. James F. Mullen; directors, the president, secretary, Messrs. Daniel Knowlton and George Wright. Mr. Winslow is the proprietor of the Boston roller skating rink on St. James avenue. He is a great lover of base ball, and is believed thoroughly competent to fill the position to which he has been chosen. Mr. James F. Mullen is a successful merchant in the tailors' trimmings trade on Summer street. He is a gentleman of broad views, great liberality and sound judgment, and his presence on the board will go far to assure the success of the new venture. Mr. George Wright is too well known as a citizen and player to need anything more than mere mention. The Union company may be considered fortunate to have secured such an admirable board of officers, who will leave nothing undone to make it a favorite with the public. |
