Text | Robert Mathews, one of the best pitchers in his palmy days, but less efficient of late, because of intemperate habits, has, it is said, bit adieu to the use of gin cocktails, and formed the determination to regain the prestige he once held as a pitcher. He is likely to secure an engagement in a good club for 1878. |
