Text | Appeals should only be made in rare instances and very seldom on calling balls and strikes. The evil of bullying the umpire, which some pitchers and catchers have indulged in too much of late, is rapidly disappearing, however, and we hope to see it done away with. It is poor policy and works against the nine adopting it. |
