Text | A correspondent calls our attention to the extremely rare instance of a triple-play made by a player unaided, which happened in an amateur game at Cleveland, O., on last Thanksgiving-day. Base-runners occupied the first and second bases, when a seemingly safe hit to short right-field was captured on the fly by the second-baseman, who touched the player running from first and then touched the second base before the occupant thereof could return to that point. |
