Text | The first game of the season was played in Detroit last night [2/28]. It was in the Princess Rink, between the Pearl and Eclipse clubs, two lively amateur organizations, and over 1,000 people witnessed the game, which was exceedingly interesting. The boys did not play on skates, but wore rubber shoes on their feet and it was a real contest. |
