Text | The Allegheny Base Ball Club held their annual meeting today [12/9], at which the cases of the League players, Galvin, Williamson and Bennett were taken up. These three men had signed agreements to come here and then broke their promises. After discussing the cases in all their phases the trio were expelled. Berg, the young Boston player who last season received $50 from the club to pay his expenses, but who failed to show up, was also expelled. None of these parties will now be permitted to play in the American Association. |
