Text | [Forest City of Cleveland vs. Athletic 9/7/1871] In consequence of the late arrival of the Cleveland club on the ground, the game was not commenced until four o’clock in the afternoon, and as the Athletics wished to take an early train that evening for Boston it was mutually agreed that the game should terminate at 5:45 P.M. |
