Text | The Sporting News, published by Al Spink and recognized as Von der Ahe’s official organ, to-day publishes an article to the effect that the American Association and National League are to combine, and that, pursuant to this idea, plans have been drawn up, and those which in all likelihood will be submitted and acted on favorably call for one gigantic league composed of twelve cities, including Boston, New York, Brooklyn, Philadelphia, Baltimore, Pittsburgh, Chicago, St. Louis, Cincinnati, Louisville, Columbus and Kansas City. |
