Text | A fine scheme for the end of the base ball season would be for the clubs winning the pennant in the Association and League to play a series of games in all the cities having clubs attached to each. It would give the people a chance to form an estimate of the relative strength of each association and be a mind for the promoters of the scheme.-- {Louisville Courier-Journal. Our Western friend is a little late in his idea. The scheme has already been taken up and the Athletic and Providence clubs will play early in October. |
