Text | The Atlantics, Mutuals, Athletics and Red Stockings have proved themselves to be the best ball players in the country. While the Red Stockings are East, let us settle the question. Let the Atlantics and Athletics throw thei4r claims into the balance, and meeting on the Capitoline Ground (the best in the country) let the four clubs play a week, and the victor of the week's play be proclaimed the champion club, and provided with a symbol which it will retain. |
