Text | Last Saturday [6/30] Dave Rowe tendered his resignation as manager, captain and outfielder of the Cowboy team, which was promptly accepted, and Dave Rowe, and old League club manager, must seek pastures new. … The management has appointed Sam Barkley as captain with control of the men on and off the field, while Secretary Clough, a very competent and efficient secretary, will take charge of the finances and travel with the team on their trips. … Manager Barkley has secured the release of Sullivan, of the Birmingham team, of the Southern League, and this is the first step of our new manager.
