Text | The stockholders of the defunct Athletic were to have held a meeting on Tuesday evening last, but “owing to some misunderstanding”(?) As a party interested informed us, but few put in an appearance. No business was transacted, as the hall in which the meeting was to have been held was closed “for repairs.” We hope this will be the last farce enacted in the interest of a defunct organization. |
