Data | “Base ball” was played at an outing of students and teachers of the Sayer's Street Sunday School of Norwich, Norfolk, to a park in nearby Whitlingham. According to a newspaper report, after taking a short river boat cruise on the Jenny Lind, “the grounds being reached, cricket, base ball, and other games were engaged in until five o'clock, when the ample tea provided was found both refreshing and appetising.” |
