Description

The Baltimore Sun, Nov. 3, 1905: "Jamaica's First Baseball Game. Kingston, Jamaica, Nov. 2--The first baseball match ever played in Jamaica took place today between teams from the United States cruisers Denver and Yankee."

The Kingston (Jamaica) Gleaner Oct. 31, 1905 has a few more details, saying the game was to be played at Sabina Park, and that this was a "return match". Sabina Park was the site of a 1912 game between the USS Eagle and the "All Stars." See the Kingston Gleaner, Dec. 30. 1912.
