Brooklyn had League aspirations if the Mets could have been transferred to the City of Churches.  At one time the transfer looked certain.  Now, on the authority of President Byrne, of the Brooklyn Club, it is not probable.  Cincinnati and Baltimore, notwithstanding an unofficial declaration, have no League aspirations and never had., quoting the Cleveland Herald</p>
