Text | Zeller began play by balking, he moving his foot nearly every ball he delivered, but the umpire failed to see it, and it was permitted, although the Unions called the umpire’s attention to it. The pitcher is required by the rule to keep both feet on the ground until after the ball has left his hand, and Zeller plainly made a balk nearly every time he pitched. |
