Description | The Isle of Man Examiner, Oct. 12, 1934 reports that a Ramsey minister criticizing the "young people from Douglas" playing rounders and baseball on the Lhen Beach on Sundays. Lhen Beach is near Ramsey. Same April 15, 1938 for Ramsey: "The game of baseball is being introduced in the schools, and scholars of Albert Road School were observed trying out their new form of recreation last week." Isle of Man Times, Feb. 20, 1937 reports that two Liverpool baseball clubs propose to play matches on the Isle of Man. |
