Description

Rhodes, "The Anglo-American Intervention at Archangel, 1918-1919," International History Review, v. 8 no. 3 (Aug. 1986), p. 386, says that U.S. soldiers played baseball against Canadian artillerymen at or near Archangel in May, 1919, citing the diary of Lt. Glen Weeks. The games had to be halted after their only baseball fell apart.
