Text | Burns, the blacklisted third baseman of the Newark Club, yesterday began a suit in the Court of Chancery to compel the directors of the club to reinstate him, and to restrain them from any acts of opposition or injustice that may prevent him from obtaining a livelihood. The action is based on the ground that no association or individual has the right to deprive him of making his living. The case will be argued in several days. Should Burns be successful in his suit, other similar actions will probably follow. |
