Text | The Eastern League audiences seem to be taking up a bad practice discarded in the South. At Meriden last Saturday Murphy and Grant were presented with $42, collected in the grand stand, for home runs, and Umpire Farrow actually called the game to permit the gift to be made at the home plate. |
