Text | There is to be a change in the score-box at the Union Park. The official scorer for the League in St. Louis, Mr. Al. Spink, will resign his position and the place will be filled by Mr. George Munson. Mr. Spink gives up the place for the reason that his arduous duties as managing editor of the Sporting News, combined with his recent ill health, renders his attendance at all the games and the work of score keeping altogether too much for him to bear. Mr. Munson will be at home in the box and is the best man for the position that Mr. Lucas could select. Al. will leave the city soon for a short trip in order to bring himself into the proper condition for the work he will have to do during the coming summer. St. |
