Text | Counterfeiting theater tickets is an old dodge, but counterfeiting base-ball tickets is not. A number of counterfeit base-ball tickets were presented at Union Park, Pittsburg, on the day of the first Athletic-Allegheny game, but the parties were refused admission. It was learned that some person had printed a lot of tickets and offered them for sale to boys at the rate of twenty cents each. The tickets are an exact facsimile of the regular tickets, except they are not numbered. Efforts are being made to discover the counterfeiters. St. |
