Text | The stockholders of the Columbus Base-ball Club held a meeting to-night [8/7]. Reports showed $2,000 now in the treasury, and that they would have $4,000 or $5,000 surplus at the end of the season, enough to pay for the original stock of $5,000. the success has been more than was expected, financially as well as otherwise. It was decided to continue the club next year, and steps were taken to look after the management, reserve, rule for players, and such other ma6tters as would put them in better condition for next season. |
