Text | Umpire Burnham found an effigy of himself hanging by a rope in the club house when he went to umpire Saturday's game in Chicago. It bore the legend: “Burnham—Cleveland, 3; Chicago, 2.” He cut it down and the Chicago papers say he was outrageously unfair in his decisions in the game and virtually gave it to the opposing side. |
