Text | The Excelsior Club of Brooklyn.--This once famous baseball organization will celebrate its coming of age—its 21st anniversary—on Dec. 8, on which occasion they will have a grand dinner at Delmonico's, in New York, where there will be quite a reunion of the “old boys” of the club, as well as the “rustics” and youngsters. “Poor Jim Davis” of the Knickerbockers is preparing a grand speech and song for the occasion. Tickets to the dinner are ten dollars. |
