Text	There are various stories circulating as to the reason why Nick Young left the Chicago ball club. He was engaged at a large salary as executive manager of the White Stockings, and his sudden departure from the city is not generally understood. It was been ascertained that Mr. Young left because Secretary of the Treasury Bristow offered him a good situation in Washington. Feeling assured that he could better his prospects by going to the capital, Mr. Young resigned his somewhat doubtful position in Chicago and started at once for Washington.
