Text | A telegram was yesterday morning received from Mr. E. Hicks Hayhurst, manager of the Athletic club of Philadelphia, stating that three of his nine–McBride, Clapp and Fisler–were in such disabled condition that it would be impossible for the Athletics to play the Baltimores according to announcement, and placards announcing the postponement of the game were gotten out as soon as possible. |
