Text | [Boston vs. Expert of Philadelphia 4/29/1871] We venture to say there is not one man in the Base Ball fraternity who is more capable of umpiring a game, or who is more thoroughly posted with the rules of the game than Mr. Bomeisler. Listening to his decisions when appealed to, which were rendered with firmness and quickness, reminded us of Colonel Fitzgerald’s umpiring. |
