Text	It is of course right and proper for a pitcher to be on the watch for his special interests if he finds an umpire listless, indifferent or not properly attentive to his duties; but the habit of badgering umpires for decisions on strikes or on the character of the balls pitched is a very unwise thing for a pitcher to indulge in. It may lead to a favorable decision in one or two instances, but only at the cost of adverse ruling in a majority of appeals made, as umpires are bound to revenge themselves in nine cases out of ten for the annoyances the pitcher thereby subjects them to.
