Text	(Gothams vs. Atlantics 9/3/1857) A correspondent informs us, that these two match games attracted a large number of spectators, and much disappointment was evinced by the friends and backers of the losers; as seven out of every ten men on the ground, who considered themselves well posted, were ready to plant their “tin” in favor of the Gothamites, at 2 and 3 to 1, when the word was given to play.
