|Description=

The game of Battle Board is found in discussions of the origins and evolution of stoolball in Britain.

As of December 2021 we have no definitive rules for this game, but can conjecture that observers considered it a form of stoolball.

In 2021, David Block, a leading authority on English ballgames, wrote "in all likelihood battle-board was a local Kentish designation for stoolball."
