Richard noted: "this is the earliest example I know of named cricket clubs, and is not mentioned in Tom Melville's history [&lt;span style="text-decoration: underline;"&gt;The Tented Field.]&lt;/span&gt; In am 1/30/2008 email, Richard added that this game was also reported in the &lt;span style="text-decoration: underline;"&gt;New York Columbia&lt;/span&gt; of June 19, 1820 as having "all Europeans" on both sides. &lt;strong&gt;Note:&lt;/strong&gt; does the David Sentence book cover this game? Do we know of any earlier club play; for instance, did the Boston Cricket Club [see #1808.2 above] ever take the field in 1808?&lt;/p&gt;".
